How to Find Drop Ship Distributors

There is a trade-off when finding reliable drop shippers.

  1. Spend time and save money?
  2. Spend money and save time?

You need to decide which approach you want to take. Most people would rather save the money now. This is fine, as long as you remember that the money you save now, may very well be spent later when you have to go hunting for a reliable drop shipper again. So weigh the advantages of each approach carefully.

Just remember the old saying “you get what you pay for”. You can choose to spend the time or the money… But you have to pay one of them. When I got started, I chose to spend the money. This enabled me to jump right in and find a reliable company to deal with. I was accepted by this drop shipping company within a week of buying the directory.

Three ways of finding drop ship distributors:

I have outlined three primary ways to find drop shippers. Each method has its strengths and weaknesses… so decide which way is best for you. I recommend purchasing the directory, since you can then concentrate on building your business, instead of finding products…

1. You can use a directory of drop ship distributors.

This method will cost you some money upfront, but it will save you oodles of time. You will gain access to the directory immediately. And then you can be signing up with a drop ship company within a couple of days. By using a reliable drop ship directory, then your chances of finding a reliable drop ship company just went up about 2000 percent!

2. You can use the “department store” approach.

Using this method, you become the sleuth. You grab your hat and magnifying glass (and your bloodhound if you have one) and go digging through your local Wal-Mart looking for items you can drop ship. I have written up some more details on this method if you want. This will not cost you any money to find your drop shipping companies (well, beyond some stamps anyhow), but it does take time.

3. You can scour the internet, looking for legitimate wholesale drop shippers.

This method can take time, since you need to browse each companies website, then contact them via email if you can’t find any drop ship information on their site. This method only costs you the time on the internet… but that time can be extensive if what you are looking for is not a common item to drop-ship.
