How to find free drop ship distributors

Finding a free drop ship distributor is easy. Finding a reliable drop ship distributor that sells quality, name brand products is a little more difficult.

You can find good drop ship distributors by scouring the internet. However, you will not find a large collection of drop ship distributors in one place. Since the time involved to locate and verify drop ship distributors can be intensive, all the good lists of drop ship distributors have a fee involved. First, you should brain storm a list of items that you would like to drop ship. Then start with the first item on your list, and do a search (I prefer Google) for

(replace * KEYWORD * with the first item on your list). Check out the results and see if they have a drop ship program, and check out the terms Here are some guidelines to follow when researching a drop ship program. Repeat the keyword using the search phrase:

Check out the results. You may want to keep a word document (or a notepad document) open to past in any notes and the URL.

Another way to find free drop ship distributors is with a little, old-fashioned sleuthing. First, grab a small notepad and something to write with. Then head on down to your local Wal-Mart or such. Spend some time wandering the aisles looking for products that you think will sell.

Look for stuff that is not a major name-brand. When you find something, look at the back of the package. You will find a company name, address, telephone and maybe a web site. Write these down in your notepad.

Repeat this process until you have about 25 or 30 items, then head home. Once you are home, look up the products that provided a web site. Do they mention drop-shipping from their web site.? If so, make a note of the company. If there was no mention of drop-shipping, or no web site. to check, then write them a letter or call them.
